Product Development Systems Engineer II - Hybrid La Crosse

Design and validate commercial HVAC heat pumps and chillers as a Product Development Systems Engineer II. Integrate components while advancing product quality, reliability, and new product development.

Description

  • Develop solutions for current chiller applications and broaden offerings for future heating applications
  • Contribute to technology and new product initiatives that improve product and component performance, reliability, or cost
  • Create and refine tools and processes for integrating components into commercial HVAC product lines
  • Conduct and document engineering analyses covering design, performance verification, and HVAC product reliability
  • Plan and oversee laboratory testing for product design and verification
  • Partner with suppliers to secure component designs that satisfy product requirements
  • Contribute to or lead focused teams on short-term projects
  • Coordinate with development, manufacturing, design, marketing, and supplier teams
  • Collaborate with teams in La Crosse and Pueblo and support organizations in Shanghai and Bangalore

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Two or more years of engineering work experience
  • Background in product design, bills of materials, engineering specifications, and product manufacturing
  • Quality-focused, customer-oriented approach to engineering design
  • Ability to quickly interpret, synthesize, and organize information for efficient engineering decisions
  • Capability to contribute as either a team member or team leader
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed professional with high energy and strong commitment to career development
  • Ability to deliver work and complete projects while managing multiple priorities
