PRN Mammography Technologist - UAMS Breast Center

Perform mammography and breast ultrasound examinations while providing patient care at the UAMS Breast Center. Support patient education, medical records, appointment scheduling, and BreastCare Program enrollment.

Description

  • Create high-quality breast imaging studies while delivering patient care in the UAMS Breast Center
  • Operate specialized radiologic equipment for mammography and breast ultrasound examinations
  • Monitor supplies and maintain a clean, orderly work area
  • Explain examination procedures and position patients for radiologic imaging
  • Educate patients about mammography and breast health
  • Support medical records management and appointment scheduling
  • Collect patient histories and document them in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Review prior records to identify the appropriate studies
  • Confirm examinations and images are completed and stored in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Enroll eligible patients in the BreastCare Program
  • Keep current with breast imaging procedures through continuing education and professional development
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Completion of a radiologic technology program
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Arkansas radiologic technologist license
  • Annual tuberculosis screening
  • Criminal background check
  • Substance abuse testing
  • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment
