Description
- Prioritize customer and user experience throughout software design and engineering
- Support the architecture, design, and engineering center of excellence
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders
- Deliver customer outcomes through engineering, innovative solutions, and technology design
- Partner with software engineers to develop and prototype innovative solutions
- Work with domain and enterprise architects to validate and apply architectural approaches
- Create software that automates build, testing, and deployment processes
- Define, oversee, and govern engineering solutions that improve automation, simplicity, resilience, security, performance, scalability, and reuse
- Design and build complex software, scripts, and tools for banking platforms, applications, and services within a platform or feature team
- Serve as a point of contact for solution design decisions
- Develop architecture models and roadmaps for software and application components
- Promote consistent usability across products and domains
- Design, create, test, and implement production-ready code
- Use Agile delivery methods and DevOps practices throughout software development
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software engineering, software design, database design, or architecture
- Experience delivering software in Agile and DevOps environments
- Expert knowledge of current market trends, technologies, and development tools
- Proven success applying programming best practices for scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance
- Strong experience leading software development teams in a matrix organization
- At least 12 years of hands-on Java development experience, including Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
- Strong experience building risk-domain applications, preferably in investment banking or financial services
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs for scalability, performance, and reliability
- Experience leading software engineering teams in a matrix environment while directing technical strategy and Agile delivery
