Description
- Collect and prepare donor samples for processing and testing
- Measure and document product and sample weights
- Label samples and freeze units within the required timeframe
- Package units for final shipment
- Prepare sample shipments and testing-laboratory boxes
- Monitor stored products
- Report equipment operating conditions
- Keep donor files accurate and current
- Manage shipping activities and inventory control
- Maintain clear communication and quality standards
- Work in a plasma center with biological-fluid exposure, laboratory equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to high customer service standards
- High school diploma or GED
- Availability to work a flexible schedule
- Strong organizational, computer, and troubleshooting skills
- Comfort working in extreme temperatures
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas
- Ability to perform precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Essential hearing acuity
- Color perception and discrimination
- Correctable near and far vision of 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other
- Ability to stand for 4 to 6 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist the neck and waist for 1 to 2 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
