Payroll Accountant – Essen Hybrid
Manage payroll accounting, personnel accounts, reporting, and personnel-cost closings for a sustainable European retail company. This full-time hybrid role is based in Essen in the Rhine-Ruhr region.
Description
- Reconcile payment data to support accurate, complete payroll processing
- Review payroll disbursements after processing
- Maintain and resolve personnel accounts
- Process individual and other HR-related payments
- Track key payroll metrics
- Compile earnings surveys, trade tax allocations, labor-cost surveys, and other statistics
- Complete month-end and year-end personnel-cost closings
- Coordinate with Payroll, Financial Accounting, and related departments
- Serve as a contact for auditors and other external stakeholders
Requirements
- Completed commercial or business administration training
- Additional training in financial accounting, payroll accounting, or accounting is advantageous
- At least two years of professional experience in financial accounting or controlling
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and payment processes
- Proficiency with payroll or accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Structured, precise, and dependable approach to work
- Ability to stay organized while managing large volumes of data
