Part-Time Remote Speech-Language Pathologist in California

Provide part-time remote speech-language pathology services, including teletherapy, evaluations, and treatment for children and adults with communication disorders. Collaborate with clients, families, clinical teams, and CSLOT programs from California.

Description

  • Screen and evaluate children and adults with communication disorders
  • Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports
  • Create treatment programs for children and adults with communication disorders
  • Deliver teletherapy to individuals with communication disorders
  • Track and document treatment-program outcomes
  • Prepare treatment reports
  • Coordinate with clients’ care teams, particularly parents and family members
  • Escalate treatment concerns to supervisory staff
  • Provide education for staff and community groups
  • Supervise support staff in group settings
  • Contact clients and schedule sessions, primarily during Pacific Time hours from 8 AM to 6 PM
  • Track client progress-report deadlines
  • Apply CSLOT’s cancellation and makeup policy
  • Understand CSLOT payer-source services and authorization processes
  • Support CSLOT’s ongoing marketing activities
  • Complete other related duties as assigned
  • Report to the Regional Program Manager/Vice President of Clinical Programs

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in communication disorders or a comparable field
  • California license to practice speech-language pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or active progress toward certification
  • Availability of at least 10 hours per week
  • Availability from 3:00 PM PST through at least 7:00 PM PST
  • Availability on Fridays
  • Ability to provide speech-language pathology evaluations and treatment for children and adults
  • Ability to deliver teletherapy
  • Ability to work independently from a HIPAA-compliant home office when appropriate
