Description

  • Lead the identification, development, and delivery of plant capital projects
  • Prepare approval materials, project charters, management plans, estimates, and milestone schedules
  • Track design development and project deliverables
  • Coordinate bid packages and move projects into construction bidding and field execution
  • Choose contractors and appropriate contracting methods
  • Oversee installation, construction, and commissioning activities
  • Control project scope, change approvals, budgets, cost forecasts, cash-flow projections, and status reporting
  • Maintain integrated schedules for project milestones
  • Coordinate project data collection and feedback
  • Verify adherence to quality and GMP standards under FDA and OSHA requirements
  • Provide construction management and support plant startup activities
  • Evaluate and select contractors, then issue construction contracts through bidding and prequalification
  • Deliver assigned projects from initiation through completion with limited supervision
  • Review the work output of less senior engineers
  • Provide engineering support to factory operations
  • Contribute to Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) initiatives
  • Maintain zero tolerance for unsafe conditions and evaluate effects on product quality, personnel safety, and the environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • At least five years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical and conceptual reasoning abilities
  • Capability to analyze data effectively
  • Proficiency in applying problem-solving methods to resolve issues and implement change
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success completing major projects in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to schedule resources efficiently
  • Three or more years managing increasingly complex capital projects in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment preferred
  • Three or more years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment preferred
  • Experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Project preferred
  • TPM experience preferred
  • Additional consideration for subject matter expertise in process, packaging, refrigeration, or another engineering discipline
  • Must not require visa sponsorship
