Description

  • Build and refine core Notion Android experiences across reading, editing, navigation, Home, Search, and Inbox
  • Develop features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Work with product managers and designers to bring concepts to production
  • Use user feedback and product data to guide iteration
  • Apply AI coding tools and agents to build, test, and investigate efficiently
  • Own a core Android product area from concept through launch within the first year
  • Optimize startup time, scrolling, typing responsiveness, crash rates, and memory usage
  • Add testing and monitoring to help prevent regressions
  • Partner with experienced product and mobile AI engineers
  • Evaluate Android capabilities and help shape shipping decisions

Requirements

  • Experience building and releasing Android applications through professional work, internships, or personal projects
  • Working knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, and Gradle
  • Strong attention to native UI performance and fluid interactions
  • Product judgment and an eye for interaction details and polish
  • Ability to explain trade-offs in writing and seek help early
  • Experience incorporating AI tools and agents into engineering workflows
  • Web development experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js is helpful but not required
  • Availability to work from a Notion office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays as Anchor Days
  • Ability to work in San Francisco or New York City
