Description
- Support mining studies and help prepare technical reports
- Assist with pit optimisation, mine design, production scheduling, fleet estimation and cost modelling
- Interpret data and contribute to technical assessments
- Take part in scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
- Work with multidisciplinary teams across technical specialties
- Help prepare client presentations, project reports and technical documentation
- Build capability in leading mining software and analytical tools
- Contribute to office-based and site projects with guidance from experienced mining professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, either completed or nearing completion
- Demonstrated strong academic performance
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication and effective teamwork abilities
- Ability to quickly learn new software and technical concepts
- Careful attention to detail and effective time management
- Positive, collaborative approach to contributing within a team
- Interest in consulting and working across varied mining methods and commodities
- Experience with pit optimisation or enterprise optimisation software is helpful but not required
- Experience with mine planning and design software is helpful but not required
- Experience with mine scheduling software is helpful but not required
- Experience with Excel, Power BI or Python is helpful but not required
- Vacation work, internships or practical mining experience is helpful but not required
- Understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods is helpful but not required
