Middle-to-Senior Java Integration Developer - Hybrid Ukraine

Design and build Java microservices for Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine using Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and PostgreSQL. This full-time role uses a hybrid work arrangement in Ukraine.

Description

  • Assess technical requirements and create appropriate solution designs.
  • Build software components in line with defined specifications.
  • Review code to uphold engineering quality and agreed standards.
  • Create and maintain unit test coverage.
  • Contribute actively to project meetings and technical discussions.

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of professional experience developing with Java 17 or later.
  • Strong command of microservices architecture principles.
  • Extensive practical experience with Spring Boot, including MVC, REST, Data, Security, and messaging.
  • Proficiency with JPA and Hibernate for persistent data management.
  • Practical experience using AWS cloud services.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams or Apache Pulsar for messaging and event streaming.
  • Proficiency in Docker-based containerization across multiple environments.
  • Familiarity with the Twelve-Factor App methodology.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
  • Experience testing microservices through unit, integration, and API tests.
  • Experience implementing and administering authentication and authorization with Keycloak, AWS Cognito, or other identity providers.
  • Demonstrated accountability for delivering high-quality results independently.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and comparable project-management tools.
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM products is a strong advantage.
