Mid-Senior Interior Designer, Product & Decor (Remote)
Design AI-assisted wooden home decor products for a US-focused brand. Turn interior design concepts into manufacturable products from initial ideation through launch.
Description
- Design decor concepts with a clear focus on their use in real interiors
- Generate and visualize ideas with AI image-generation tools
- Evaluate concepts in realistic rooms and across varied interior styles
- Convert aesthetic direction into actionable product guidance
- Partner with CAD designers to develop manufacturable designs
- Coordinate with suppliers and factories during sampling and product development
- Work with content and advertising teams to prepare products for market launch
- Oversee multiple product concepts and development initiatives at the same time
- Source product opportunities through interior trends, market and competitor research, existing bestsellers, and creative direction
- Lead concepts through the complete journey from initial idea to product launch
Requirements
- Training or professional experience in interior design, demonstrated through a strong portfolio
- Practical experience with AI image-generation software, including Nano Banana, Adobe Firefly, Flux, or comparable tools
- A refined understanding of styling, scale, materials, composition, and how elements function within a room
- A genuine interest in creating physical decor products and objects, beyond designing spaces alone
- The ability to develop an aesthetic idea into a specific, manufacturable, and marketable product concept
- Excellent organization, dependability, and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Fluent English communication skills
- Experience creating custom furniture, decor objects, or accessories is highly valued
- Experience with wood, handcrafted goods, or comparable materials is highly valued
- Strong familiarity with US interior and home decor styles, including organic modern, Japandi, or mid-century, is highly valued
- Experience using 3D or CAD software such as SketchUp, Rhino, Blender, or comparable tools is highly valued
- Experience working with makers, factories, manufacturers, or suppliers is highly valued
- Experience managing product sampling and development iterations is highly valued
- Applicants must provide a CV, portfolio, and examples of interiors, products, or custom pieces they developed personally
