Mid-Level Database Administrator – Colorado Springs Onsite

Description

  • Administer and maintain mission-data and database services for Red LAN applications
  • Manage storage, data integrity, access controls, backups, performance, and recovery
  • Support schema and data validation, structured-data processing, transformations, and interface dependencies for Bifrost, customer additions, and approved mission-data changes
  • Tune database and index performance
  • Evaluate database designs and system integrations
  • Perform backup recovery and recommend system enhancements
  • Maintain database security and integrity safeguards
  • Establish and monitor database policies, procedures, and standards
  • Create stored procedures and triggers as required
  • Audit, update, and correct data with SQL commands
  • Manage database projects, transaction-log backups, notifications, and replication across SQL Servers and remote sites
  • Review technical designs, reports, documentation, and staff-produced materials
  • Develop and maintain high-level reporting systems
  • Research and implement emerging database and online technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5–7 years of related professional experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Experience administering and maintaining database services
  • Proficiency with SQL commands, stored procedures, and triggers
  • Experience with database performance tuning, backups, recovery, replication, and security and integrity controls
  • Experience administering multiple types of database systems
  • Ability to establish and enforce database administration and user standards and procedures
