Merchandise Assistant, Capsule Collections

Temporary, part-time role supporting Anthropologie capsule collections through product maintenance, sample coordination, purchase order administration, vendor communication, and merchandise operations.

Description

  • Support daily operations for the assigned buying area
  • Help the buying team coordinate merchandise flow
  • Complete administrative tasks as needed
  • Build cross-functional relationships with market and internal partners, including distribution, planning, buying operations, website merchandising, brand creative, and photo studio teams
  • Maintain product information so styles are active on the website
  • Review sample purchase orders, record measurements, and route samples to the appropriate teams
  • Request missing samples from vendors or the distribution center
  • Provide samples to brand creative and styling teams
  • Maintain product information in STEP
  • Review Received Not Activated styles and correct website copy and details
  • Coordinate with buying operations to support on-time merchandise delivery
  • Serve as a liaison between vendors and buyers
  • Respond to questions about shipping, logistics, payments, trade terms, and processes
  • Notify buyers about order costing or timing impacts
  • Prepare vendor reports and support reporting for business reviews and hindsight meetings
  • Coordinate distribution center order questions involving overages, shortages, quality control, and priorities
  • Share upcoming products with creative and merchandising teams
  • Contribute to seasonal trend roundups and relevant assortment additions
  • Enter product information in TXT
  • Help issue and revise purchase orders
  • Reconcile weekly attributes and verify accurate coding
  • Update care labels for own-brand products in Tradestone
  • Prepare picture packs for meetings
  • Receive, review, and return vendor samples
  • Submit purchase order requests for own-brand assortments
