Master's Scholarship Fellow, Data Engineering — Remote in Brazil
Conduct master's-level research for Itaú on intelligent customer timelines, temporal events, and data engineering. Design context architectures and prototypes that identify opportunities based on customer events and journeys.
Description
- Research architectures for an Intelligent Customer Timeline
- Assess Event Sourcing, Temporal Databases, Event Stores, and hybrid architecture approaches
- Define event models, metadata, time windows, and representation layers
- Create methods for dynamically assembling context without extensive data replication
- Assist with prototypes that identify opportunities linked to events and customer journeys
- Contribute to an innovation project at the Itaú Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation with Inova Talentos
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Distributed Systems, or a related discipline
- Understanding of temporal data structures
- Understanding of Event Sourcing
- Understanding of Temporal Databases
- Understanding of Event Stores
- Knowledge of indexing techniques
- Knowledge of streaming technologies
- Knowledge of distributed systems
- Knowledge of data engineering
- Knowledge of data architecture
- Proficiency in English
- Availability to work 40 hours per week
- Preferred: experience with Complex Event Processing (CEP), event-driven architecture, Data Mesh, Data Products, large-scale streaming, temporal performance benchmarking, or financial-sector environments
