Master Data Management (MDM) Developer – Texas Remote

Develop and govern master data processes, quality rules, and stewardship practices for BAE Systems’ defense, aerospace, security, and information technology operations. The role supports data governance, MDM initiatives, and system configuration requirements.

Description

  • Deliver master data projects and related initiatives
  • Manage Master and Reference Data processes to support accurate data creation, transformation, and retention
  • Contribute to Master Data policies, standards, and procedures
  • Partner with enterprise stakeholders to establish data-validity rules and consistent processes across systems of record
  • Coordinate with Data Governance Working Groups to apply governance requirements to Master Data
  • Help Data Owners and Stewards prioritize MDM initiatives in line with business objectives
  • Implement, maintain, and improve governance and stewardship processes across the MDM ecosystem
  • Audit and verify Master Data definitions
  • Lead or contribute to business requirements for system configuration changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least six years of professional experience, including three or more years in Data Governance or MDM
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and improving data governance and stewardship processes within an MDM environment
  • Experience auditing and validating Master Data definitions
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Experience with MDM platforms such as Informatica, Profisee, or Semarchy
  • Experience translating business needs into requirements for system configuration changes
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced data profiling and modeling skills
  • Knowledge of data technologies and methods including REST, SOAP, Python, and SQL
  • Ability to build and sustain effective internal and external working relationships
