Loads and Dynamics Engineer I - Onsite in Centennial

Entry-level engineer supporting dynamic-environment analysis for Sierra Space aerospace systems in Centennial. The role includes data analysis, technical reporting, and collaboration with senior engineers on space technology projects.

Description

  • Assist senior engineers with projects involving dynamic environments and structural dynamics
  • Analyze and assess loads and dynamics affecting aerospace systems
  • Gather and interpret data related to dynamic environments
  • Conduct first-order analyses using foundational aerospace principles, standards, theories, and concepts
  • Create technical reports and supporting documentation
  • Explain technical information clearly in written and spoken communication
  • Work with colleagues to deliver project objectives on schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in place of a degree
  • Generally suited to candidates with 0–2 years of experience
  • Foundational knowledge of dynamic environments and/or structural dynamics
  • Basic experience applying aerospace principles, standards, theories, first-order analysis, and related concepts
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from senior engineers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical subjects
  • Aerospace or related engineering internship or co-op experience preferred
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, NASTRAN, or comparable engineering software preferred
  • Knowledge of shock, random vibration, acoustics, and their effects on aerospace systems preferred
  • Understanding of structural dynamics applications in aerospace engineering preferred
  • Well-developed problem-solving ability and careful attention to detail preferred
  • Motivation to learn and build new skills in a changing work environment preferred
