Lead Risk-Based Auditor – Private Banking

Lead risk-based audits across wealth management for an international private bank in Zurich. Assess controls, report risks, and recommend practical remediation.

Description

  • Act as a trusted audit partner to business-area management and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Provide audit support and expertise in internal controls
  • Perform risk-based audits and consulting engagements across wealth management
  • Analyze business operations and processes to identify weaknesses, patterns, trends, and correlations
  • Produce comprehensive audit reports covering control weaknesses, related risks, and practical mitigation recommendations
  • Follow up on management’s corrective actions and assess their effectiveness
  • Complete annual risk assessments for designated Wealth Management operating areas
  • Recommend priorities for the following year’s annual audit plan
  • Share best practices in computer-assisted auditing, data visualization, and data analytics
  • Help enhance internal audit practices and broader risk and control initiatives
  • Travel up to 15% per year

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or finance
  • An audit certification such as CA, CPA, CFA, CIA, or CISA is advantageous
  • Fluency in German is required
  • Relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance within an international or private bank
  • Strong understanding of the relevant products and processes
  • Comfort working in a matrix organization
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to challenge constructively
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage concurrent assignments and projects across varying deadlines
  • Strong interest in technology and advanced Excel proficiency
