Junior Software Engineer, Flutter and Python

Description
- Build end-to-end features across the Flutter app, APIs, and database
- Enhance interactive career exploration, profiles, and recommendations
- Design and maintain APIs, data models, and external integrations
- Troubleshoot issues across mobile, backend, data, and infrastructure
- Improve user experience, architecture, reliability, and performance
- Write tests, review code, and help release production updates
- Carry features from initial problem definition through implementation and launch
- Investigate issues independently and uphold the quality of your work
Requirements
- Solid fundamentals in at least one modern programming language
- A completed, substantial application or software project to demonstrate
- Practical knowledge of REST APIs, relational databases, testing, and Git
- Strong debugging ability and confidence navigating unfamiliar systems
- Careful attention to product behavior, usability, and interaction details
- Ability to weigh options and clearly explain technical decisions
- Initiative, sound judgment, and readiness to flag problems early
- Good English for working with technical teammates
- German language skills are an advantage
- Usually about one to two years of experience
- Substantial internship, working-student, open-source, university, or personal project experience may also be relevant
- Flutter or another mobile framework is advantageous
- FastAPI or another backend framework is advantageous
- PostgreSQL or Supabase experience is advantageous
- Automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, or cloud deployment experience is advantageous
- Experience with AI-powered, data-driven, or user-facing products is advantageous
- Mobile: Flutter and Dart

- Data: PostgreSQL and Supabase
- Infrastructure: Docker and cloud services
- Interfaces: REST APIs, WebSockets, and external integrations
