IT Systems Analyst Advisor – Remote

Translate complex business needs into enterprise technical specifications for Sedgwick’s insurance operations. Guide architecture, integrations, requirements, testing, and resolution of systemic issues.

Description

  • Translate complex business and functional requirements into system requirements and technical specifications across multiple initiatives
  • Develop and review detailed technical specifications and tasks for complex, cross-system solutions
  • Define processing logic, validations, exception handling, and expected system behavior
  • Maintain complete, high-quality, traceable requirements aligned with enterprise standards
  • Define and review data structures, interfaces, integrations, and data transformations
  • Assess enterprise-wide system impacts, dependencies, and data flows across platforms
  • Establish non-functional requirements covering security, performance, scalability, resilience, and auditability
  • Provide guidance on solution architecture and design decisions
  • Prepare backlogs and facilitate complex refinement, planning, and design discussions
  • Assess technical complexity, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to inform prioritization and sequencing
  • Collaborate with QA and engineering leaders on testing strategies
  • Verify delivered functionality against requirements, specifications, expected behavior, and downstream impacts
  • Lead or advise on defect triage and troubleshoot complex system, data, and integration problems
  • Create and maintain documentation standards and requirements-analysis practices
  • Lead initiatives that improve processes, system efficiency, scalability, and data quality
  • Act as a subject matter expert, mentor analysts, and provide cross-team technical leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Ten years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required
  • Experience converting business requirements into technical or system specifications required
  • Experience supporting system integrations, data flows, and application behavior
  • Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments preferred
  • Experience in enterprise or regulated environments preferred
  • Expert-level capability in systems analysis and technical requirements documentation
  • Ability to interpret complex business needs and convert them into scalable, high-quality technical solutions
  • Extensive experience defining interfaces, APIs, data models, and integrations
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, dependencies, and enterprise data flows
  • Ability to assess complexity, dependencies, risks, and technical trade-offs across initiatives
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and influence outcomes
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across Product, Business, Architecture, Development, QA, and Operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
