Description

  • Assess business needs and translate them into practical technology solutions that follow architectural standards.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain application and data components.
  • Build data models, flows, processing rules, and integration, transformation, and loading pipelines.
  • Implement and improve data warehouses, data marts, interfaces, and analytical solutions.
  • Maintain data quality, traceability, and dependable operations.
  • Serve as a technical resource and support the delivery team.
  • Apply best practices and uphold the technical quality of deliverables.
  • Coordinate testing and code review activities.
  • Support estimation, planning, documentation, obsolescence management, change management, and production releases.
  • Incorporate security, compliance, and access management requirements.
  • Help resolve incidents and support audit activities.
  • Work with business partners, architects, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience designing and developing IT solutions.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Python or a comparable programming language.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling, databases, and ETL/ELT practices.
  • Familiarity with software development, testing, security, and deployment methods.
  • Experience with Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable technologies is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the insurance and financial services sector is an asset.
  • Advanced French proficiency.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Ability to communicate daily by email and phone with unilingual English-speaking suppliers and partners across Canada.
