IRAS Senior Analyst - Bangalore Onsite

Support Northern Trust’s investment risk and analytics services across performance, compliance, private markets, and risk reporting. This onsite role is based in Bangalore or Pune and includes night-shift work.

Description

  • Deliver accurate, timely final outputs.
  • Follow established procedures and service-level agreements.
  • Investigate service-delivery root causes and coordinate their resolution.
  • Handle volume surges and resolve complex queries for the role and immediate sub-process.
  • Act as the process authority across workflows, upstream and downstream teams, and supporting applications.
  • Develop working relationships with related departments and Middle Office teams.
  • Quality-check work completed by other analysts.
  • Train and coach new team members on process activities.
  • Share procedural changes with the team in a timely, proactive manner.
  • Maintain current DPADs and client profiles.
  • Drive and deliver process-improvement initiatives.
  • Support IRAS services covering Performance, Compliance, Private Monitor, and Risk.

Requirements

  • A commerce degree or MBA in Finance.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in finance, capital markets, investment management, or asset servicing.
  • Availability for night-shift schedules.
  • Flexibility to work from different Northern Trust locations.
  • Understanding of capital markets, financial markets, investment instruments, fixed income, alternative assets, derivatives, portfolio management strategies, and client reporting.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, EDM, PED, IIP, RADAR, CAR coding and proof packs, and PACE.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excel macro development skills are an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively and adapt within small teams.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks while staying composed under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with related departments and client-servicing teams.
  • CFA, FRM, or CIPM certification is an added advantage.
  • Internal applicants must have at least 24 months in their current role; Partners must have completed one year as Analyst II; lateral applicants must have completed one year in their current role.
