Inventory Operations Manager – 1st Shift Onsite

Lead inventory control operations, improve warehouse processes, and maintain accurate records on GXO Logistics’ first-shift onsite team. The role combines team supervision, discrepancy resolution, process analysis, and operational training.

Description

  • Manage key operational areas to support inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and team performance
  • Track trends and evaluate operational issues
  • Drive improvements to inventory and warehouse processes
  • Coach team members and support their professional development
  • Supervise Inventory Control employees and uphold company policies
  • Protect inventory record accuracy by following established procedures
  • Review detailed transaction histories to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate effectively with management at all levels and customer representatives
  • Lead and train employees to support company goals and objectives
  • Organize team activities and promote productive use of working hours
  • Examine facility operations to troubleshoot workflow issues and recommend improvements

Requirements

  • At least four years of inventory control experience
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience operating computerized scanner equipment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule when needed, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience preferred
  • APICS or CSCMP certification preferred
  • Five years of inventory control experience, including slotting and unit measures, preferred
  • Five years of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in new software applications quickly
  • Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting clear, organized, and thorough information to the intended audience
  • Self-directed approach with strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Careful attention to detail and follow-through, with the ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Recipients of a conditional offer may need to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test
