International Development Communications Specialist – Remote U.S. Contract

Create accessible communications for ProSidian Consulting’s U.S. Department of Labor program consulting work. Turn labor research and evidence into clear summaries, visuals, reports, and public-facing content.

Description

  • Create one-page summaries, infographics, synthesis materials, stories and vignettes, social media posts, and blog content
  • Copy-edit reports
  • Present findings clearly to nontechnical audiences
  • Synthesize evidence and make findings accessible
  • Prepare copy-edited deliverables that comply with Section 508
  • Coordinate requested translated versions
  • Coordinate PII and non-PII report versions with the Data Analyst and Lead Evaluator
  • Produce approximately six to eight synthesis or visualization products each year
  • Support DOL ILAB Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEL), and Data Services activities
  • Monitor programs, assess impact, and translate labor data into clear insights

Requirements

  • Proven experience in research communications
  • Strong editorial judgment and copy-editing skills
  • Experience with visual storytelling
  • Experience producing accessible publications
  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, design, or a related discipline is recommended
  • Plain-language writing and editing ability
  • Skills in visualization and accessibility remediation
  • Ability to synthesize evidence
  • Experience coordinating multilingual publications
  • Careful, clear, audience-focused work with discretion and fidelity to source evidence
  • Ability to produce Section 508-compliant deliverables
  • Ability to coordinate PII and non-PII report versions
  • English proficiency for work and job-site communication
