Infrastructure Engineer, TechOps CI/CD at CrowdStrike (Bangalore, Hybrid)
Operate CrowdStrike’s virtualized infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code platforms in Bangalore. Support cybersecurity software delivery through cloud operations, automation, migration, and resilience.
Description
- Manage virtualized infrastructure across QEMU/KVM, VMware vCenter, OpenStack, and AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Lead Infrastructure as Code automation with Terraform, Packer, and Ansible
- Own workstreams supporting the migration from VMware to a KVM-based private cloud
- Build automation and tooling that strengthen infrastructure reliability and improve developer experience
- Maintain monitoring, upkeep, and resilience across R&D environments
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and lead corrective action
- Share responsibility for the team’s on-call rotation
- Create and maintain operational documentation
- Review Infrastructure as Code and scripting changes
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering
- Availability to join an on-call rotation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effectiveness working across distributed, cross-functional teams
- Careful attention to detail and confident judgment in a fast-moving environment
- A security-focused approach and general knowledge of cybersecurity principles
- Deep knowledge of hypervisor platforms, especially QEMU/KVM for on-premises workloads; VMware or Xen experience is also relevant
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and tooling
- Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
- Experience with IaaS platforms including VMware, OpenStack, or comparable systems
- Experience managing operating system lifecycles
- Experience administering Linux, Windows, and macOS at enterprise scale
- Understanding of CI/CD patterns and practices
- Experience using Git-based repositories such as Bitbucket or GitLab
- Demonstrated use of AI technologies to improve decisions, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes
