Description

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team
  • Champion stability, reliability, scalability, and performance across technology tools
  • Direct product and technology roadmap planning, evaluating feasibility, risks, and trade-offs
  • Establish processes and tooling to detect and resolve technical issues proactively
  • Reduce technical debt and apply technologies and methods that address business needs
  • Lead and manage a high-performing technology team
  • Build a culture of accountability and communicate clear team goals and responsibilities
  • Create and deliver a technology strategy aligned with company objectives
  • Spot opportunities for innovation and guide the development of new products and features
  • Prepare and manage technology budgets and plans, including cost-benefit analysis
  • Partner with other functions to understand business needs and team objectives
  • Select and deploy AWS cloud solutions that support growth, cost efficiency, and security
  • Define and govern AWS cloud architecture, usage, and operational processes
  • Establish and monitor quality standards, security policies, and governance practices
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations
  • Design and maintain technology architecture that is scalable, secure, and reliable
  • Bring innovative ideas to product planning and design
  • Oversee systems and infrastructure design and implementation, prioritizing stability, reliability, best practices, and high code coverage
  • Report to the Head of WWAALL®

Requirements

  • At least seven years of software development experience, including previous CTO or comparable technology leadership experience
  • Advanced PHP expertise, preferably using the Laravel framework
  • Production experience with Clean Architecture or Hexagonal Architecture
  • Strong web development skills across multiple programming languages, particularly PHP with Laravel and JavaScript
  • At least five years of professional PHP/Laravel and JavaScript experience
  • Advanced JavaScript and TypeScript skills
  • At least three years of hands-on experience with Web Components, such as Lit 3.0 or similar
  • Practical experience with Node.js and its ecosystem
  • Proficiency with MySQL in multi-tenant environments
  • PostgreSQL experience is an advantage
  • Strongly preferred experience designing or operating fine-grained authorization systems, including RBAC, ReBAC, or ABAC
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs such as Microsoft Graph API, Google APIs, AWS, Stripe, and PayPal
  • Domain-Driven Design and Agile methodology experience is desirable
  • Comfort leading teams that use AI-assisted development workflows as a core practice
  • Previous experience building and scaling highly available SaaS and PaaS platforms
  • Ability to shape and execute a long-term technology strategy tied to business objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership abilities
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is valued
