Hardware Engineer — San Francisco Hybrid

Lead Meter’s enterprise networking hardware programs from early design through production, coordinating JDM partners and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable launches.

Description

  • Guide hardware programs from initial concept through high-volume production
  • Manage EVT, DVT, and PVT execution through final production release
  • Align firmware, mechanical, supply chain, operations, and other partner teams
  • Work with JDM partners on system architecture, technical requirements, and build planning
  • Run program reviews, identify risks, clear obstacles, and keep schedules on track
  • Contribute to design reviews and product validation planning
  • Prepare supply chain and operations for manufacturing and field deployment
  • Investigate schematic, component selection, and factory production issues
  • Travel to Taiwan to work with manufacturing and design partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Working knowledge of PCB layout principles
  • Capability to contribute to system architecture discussions and technical tradeoffs
  • Strong understanding of hardware development, including design, bring-up, validation, and manufacturing
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail when managing multiple workstreams
  • Proactive ownership of open issues, risks, and dependencies
  • Comfort working with external JDM partners, suppliers, and vendors
  • Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across disciplines
  • Interest in prototyping, testing, and iterating on designs
  • Availability to work from the San Francisco office three days each week
  • Authorization to work in the United States; address sponsorship needs in the application
