Description

  • Create, implement, and verify GN&C algorithms for spacecraft, re-entry vehicles, and hypersonic or airborne platforms.
  • Build and maintain six-degree-of-freedom dynamics simulations and analysis tools for mission and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and validate GN&C flight software through MATLAB/Simulink models and C/C++ prototypes.
  • Connect flight software with testbeds and avionics systems.
  • Use astrodynamics and flight mechanics for mission design, novel orbit concepts, and trajectory optimization.
  • Apply aerodynamics, atmospheric flight mechanics, and control expertise to re-entry guidance, navigation, and flight-control functions.
  • Develop powered and unpowered guidance laws and autonomy tools for orbital and atmospheric operations.
  • Help investigate operational anomalies, functional tests, and service incidents.
  • Create concepts of operation, simulation artifacts, and test procedures that enable rapid progression from prototype to flight test.
  • Work with systems engineering, avionics, test, and business development teams.
  • Explain technical tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
  • Find inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and build reusable tools and automations.
  • Contribute to integration and flight testing in atmospheric and space environments.
