GRC Specialist - Canada Remote

Support Miovision’s governance, risk, and compliance programs for intelligent transportation technology. Manage risk registers, audits, control frameworks, and compliance evidence across cloud, product, and enterprise environments.

Description

  • Identify, assess, and monitor enterprise, cyber, product, and third-party risks
  • Broaden and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity risk universe
  • Manage risk scores, treatment plans, and evidence against ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST requirements
  • Lead risk remediation efforts and administer risk acceptance workflows
  • Run GRC activities spanning ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST frameworks
  • Align controls to reduce duplication and increase operational efficiency
  • Gather and verify evidence for internal assessments
  • Manage the lifecycle of security policies and standards
  • Research and implement improvements to compliance processes
  • Develop audit playbooks and practical control procedures
  • Support external audits and coordinate evidence delivery
  • Complete customer security questionnaires, RFPs, and due-diligence requests
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Cloud Ops, IT, and Product to incorporate risk considerations
  • Serve as a risk checkpoint for product releases and major delivery milestones
  • Lead security awareness training and risk-related communications
  • Promote security best practices and strengthen the company-wide security culture
  • Contribute to cross-functional risk forums and working groups
  • Own GRC areas such as third-party risk management or policy governance
  • Advance process automation and program maturity through AI tooling
  • Support executive reporting and strategic initiatives with the GRC Manager

Requirements

  • Experience in GRC, cyber risk, compliance, or information security, preferably in SaaS, cloud, or critical-infrastructure settings
  • Strong practical knowledge of at least three major frameworks, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, FedRAMP, FAIR, or COSO
  • Proficiency with contemporary GRC platforms
  • Hands-on experience building and operating risk registers and control frameworks
  • Experience with public-sector or highly regulated customers, including federal, state, municipal, or transportation agencies
  • Ability to apply AI tooling effectively while recognizing inaccurate outputs
  • Self-directed capacity to learn new frameworks, tools, and systems
  • Ability to explain control gaps clearly and drive remediation collaboratively
