Fund Accountant, Trust — Fort Worth Hybrid

Support trust fund accounting at SS&C Technologies through NAV preparation, reconciliations, operational controls, and client service. This hybrid role covers recurring accounting processes, issue resolution, and managed services support.

Description

  • Prepare and maintain fund accounting records, including general ledgers, trial balances, NAVs, and financial statements, using Black Diamond Trust and applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities while meeting deadlines and service-level requirements.
  • Investigate complex reconciliations, accounting exceptions, and operational issues, escalating risks and proposed solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the assigned book of business and coordinate with auditors, law firms, and tax advisers.
  • Support securities operations, including trade settlement, corporate actions, and shadow posting.
  • Maintain client relationships through responsive, professional communication as a key client contact.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on team processes, systems, and controls while supporting advanced processing and issue resolution.
  • Assist with onboarding and implementation for new clients and entities.
  • Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing, documentation, and practical guidance.
  • Deliver accurate and timely fund accounting and managed services for assigned clients.
  • Work with leadership to improve processes, develop the team, and maintain consistent service quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least six years of experience in fund accounting, managed services, or financial operations.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and investment accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently and meet deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communication and effective collaboration skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills when working with people at all organizational levels.
  • Experience with alternative investments is preferred.
  • CPA, MBA, or a comparable designation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of trust operations, financial markets, or the securities industry is preferred.
