Full-Stack Developer, Platform and Infrastructure

Build shared services, APIs, and developer tools for MaintainX’s industrial work execution platform. Help improve developer productivity, security, and system reliability.

Description

  • Develop and maintain shared services and components used across engineering teams.
  • Create APIs, developer tools, and design system components while helping teams adopt them.
  • Increase the speed, security, and reliability of development, testing, and delivery workflows.
  • Collect internal developer feedback, track adoption, and refine platform capabilities.
  • Own features from initial planning through production release.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to guide the roadmap.
  • Maintain the long-term reliability and performance of an assigned system or functional area.
  • Review code and support the growth of fellow developers through mentorship.
  • Strengthen team standards for tooling, testing, and software delivery.
  • Join the on-call rotation and assume full ownership of a system or functional area within six months.

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional experience building full-stack web or mobile products.
  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Experience working with iterative, adaptive, mobile-first product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to write maintainable, testable code that can be confidently handed off.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to make progress with incomplete specifications and adapt as new information emerges.
  • Regular use of AI tools as part of a development workflow, beyond occasional experimentation.
  • GraphQL, React Native, or SQL database experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with search, authentication and identity, design systems, developer tooling, CI/CD, observability, or compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP or SOC 2 is an advantage.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
