Front-End Developer — Glanbia, Downers Grove, IL

Build and enhance multi-brand e-commerce and email experiences for Glanbia Performance Nutrition. Improve user experience, SEO, product discovery, site performance, and conversion across direct-to-consumer websites.

Description

  • Oversee work across multiple direct-to-consumer websites for different brands, platforms, and development stages
  • Publish and quality-check digital content and promotions using WordPress, Shopify, Emarsys, and Klaviyo
  • Refine front-end interfaces, navigation, layouts, usability, and overall user experience
  • Maintain e-commerce product catalogs and improve listings for search visibility and product discovery
  • Apply on-page and technical SEO practices across the websites
  • Partner with designers, product managers, content producers, QA engineers, and release engineers throughout development
  • Recommend product and UX improvements by weighing implementation effort against expected return
  • Analyze user behavior in Google Analytics and recommend experience and conversion enhancements
  • Keep pricing, product information, and promotional offers accurate and fully functional across all sites
  • Track website performance and deliver improvements to speed, responsiveness, and reliability
  • Optimize websites for mobile use and mobile conversion
  • Plan and implement conversion-rate improvements across product pages, checkout flows, and calls to action
  • Reduce customer friction by improving layouts and visual elements, identifying opportunities, and proposing solutions
  • Maintain a current technology environment in line with industry developments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or college
  • At least two years of professional experience in a related role
  • Extensive experience with web technologies
  • Strong modern software development skills across platforms
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • At least one year of Java experience
  • At least one year of REST experience
  • Adaptable and attentive to detail
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality digital experiences
  • Preferred: experience debugging DOM objects in Chrome or a similar browser environment
  • Preferred: substantial experience with web frameworks such as React.js or Knockout.js
  • Preferred: foundational knowledge of machine learning and object tracking or detection
