Florida Remote Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney
Represent insurers, businesses, and professionals in Florida liability cases. Handle litigation strategy, depositions, discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation in a remote role.
Description
- Handle general liability defense and construction defect cases from filing through resolution.
- Build and carry out a litigation strategy for each matter.
- Take and defend depositions, and appear at hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Assess claims, defenses, liability, damages, and potential case exposure.
- Work with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
- Track deadlines and oversee discovery, negotiations, and case strategy.
- Get matters ready for trial and take part in trial-related work.
- Apply sound legal judgment and uphold strong standards of client service and advocacy.
Requirements
- At least two years of civil litigation experience.
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
- General liability defense and third-party matters experience is strongly preferred.
- Construction defect litigation experience is highly valued.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage litigation matters independently and proactively.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, professionalism, and client service.
- The role generally targets attorneys with approximately 2 to 15 years of experience.
- Early- and mid-career attorneys are encouraged to apply.
- Meaningful tenure and career progression at prior firms are preferred.
- In-house and solo-practice experience are generally less preferred.
