First-Class Marine Electrician - Pascagoula, MS (Onsite)

Join HII as a First-Class Marine Electrician installing and repairing shipboard power, lighting, communication, and electronic systems. Support the construction of advanced naval vessels at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.

Description

  • Install, route, and repair marine cables, power systems, lighting, and electronic equipment
  • Interpret marine blueprints, drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment for accurate, code-compliant work
  • Diagnose and repair electrical circuits, equipment, and shipboard power systems
  • Perform duties in shipyard settings that may include elevated work, confined spaces, and changing weather
  • Support production on multiple shifts in a 24/7 industrial operation
  • Apply Ingalls electrical safety procedures throughout all tasks and work areas
  • Energize electrical systems serving weapons, navigation, communications, and essential shipboard infrastructure

Requirements

  • At least four years of commercial, industrial, or marine electrical experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to interpret marine drawings and blueprints using metric and standard measurements
  • Demonstrated experience with industrial, marine, or large-scale electrical installation
  • Ability to understand complex electrical drawings and schematics
  • Proficiency with electrical tools, testing devices, and troubleshooting methods
  • Strong dedication to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork
  • Willingness to work in an active shipyard supporting vessel construction
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Availability to support production across multiple shifts in a 24/7 industrial environment
