Financial Reporting Analyst - Bangalore Hybrid
Prepare GAAP, IFRS, and statutory financial reports for Empower’s insurance companies, separate accounts, and mutual funds. Work with U.S.-based colleagues on audits, internal controls, disclosures, and reporting systems.
Description
- Prepare internal and external financial reports for Empower’s insurance companies, separate accounts, and mutual funds.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based colleagues.
- Prepare reports under U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and U.S. statutory accounting standards.
- Produce financial reports for investment companies.
- Query the investment reporting database.
- Use financial statement software.
- Create financial reporting support materials in Excel and Word.
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
- Apply updates to financial reporting rules, accounting regulations, and disclosure requirements.
- Support financial statement audits.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures and draft desk procedures.
- Execute internal controls and document completion evidence.
- Configure financial reporting systems and test upgrades.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least two years of financial reporting experience.
- Public accounting experience is preferred.
- Investment experience is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to proactively identify improvements to work products and processes.
