Field Service Engineer – Brittany, France (Remote) | TOMRA

Install, commission and service TOMRA Food optical sorting equipment for customers across Brittany. This home-based field role covers maintenance, troubleshooting, operator training and technical support at customer sites.

Description

  • Install and commission optical sorting equipment at customer sites
  • Carry out maintenance and diagnose equipment issues
  • Train operators and customer maintenance teams
  • Deliver technical guidance and remote support to customers
  • Act as TOMRA’s trusted technical representative in the field
  • Work from a home office to prepare for customer visits
  • Write service reports and maintain technical documentation
  • Complete preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and other service work
  • Support customers across Brittany and nearby regions
  • Provide occasional support to colleagues and customers elsewhere in France

Requirements

  • Technical qualification at BAC+2 level or equivalent in electrotechnics, industrial maintenance, automation, electronics or a related field
  • Practical experience identifying electrical faults and resolving electromechanical issues
  • Fluent French communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English in technical and professional settings
  • Field service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation or mobile technical support experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience delivering preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment in customer-facing settings
  • Working knowledge of IT systems, basic networking and PC configuration
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to develop trusted working relationships
  • Valid driving licence
