Join Arcadis as an Environmental Engineer supporting remediation and environmental consulting projects in a hybrid Sewickley, Pennsylvania role. The position combines system design, field investigations, permitting, monitoring, and technical reporting.

Description

  • Research project requirements by reviewing historical information and applicable regulations
  • Design remediation systems for soil, groundwater, and soil vapor intrusion, including in-situ treatment technologies
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot remedial systems
  • Compile and evaluate data for site characterization
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and related correspondence
  • Assess remedial technologies and contribute to feasibility studies
  • Prepare estimates for remedial project costs
  • Develop design specifications, drawings, and construction documents
  • Support environmental permitting activities
  • Coordinate and oversee excavation and construction contractors
  • Oversee, implement, operate, maintain, and monitor field pilot tests and remedial systems
  • Conduct hydraulic, airflow and vacuum, geotechnical, and other field testing
  • Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air samples in accordance with state and federal standards
  • Contribute to environmental investigation, design, permitting, and remediation projects
  • Collaborate with task managers, technical specialists, and project managers across multiple projects
  • Complete field assignments and travel, including occasional overnight hotel stays

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Valid current driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to perform field work
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or CADD is preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred
