Engineering Manager, B2C Parking Product (Hybrid, Germany)
Lead Wemolo’s B2C Driver engineering team for its consumer parking product. Guide engineers, contribute to customer-facing software, and strengthen modern engineering practices.
Description
- Lead and mentor the B2C Driver team developing Wemolo’s consumer parking product
- Contribute hands-on to Python, React, TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS Lambda code and architecture
- Help the team make well-founded technical decisions
- Plan and deliver backend and frontend work while maintaining high quality standards
- Establish and improve development, code review, and deployment practices
- Partner with Product and Customer Success to translate driver feedback into product improvements
- Coach team members and support their professional growth
- Help define the engineering culture and team ways of working
Requirements
- At least two years of experience leading engineers as a team lead, tech lead, or early-stage manager
- Strong proficiency with Python and Postgres
- Strong knowledge of AWS or another cloud platform such as GCP or Azure
- Demonstrated success delivering complex software projects within a client- or customer-facing team
- Strong interest in user experience and collaborative work with Product and Design
- Commitment to helping engineers develop and perform at their best
- Ability to balance technical quality with product and business priorities
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluent English; German is an advantage
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment is an advantage
- Experience with AWS serverless architectures is an advantage
- Experience using data to guide decisions is an advantage
- Familiarity with Agile, OKRs, and modern engineering practices is an advantage
