Engineer II, Subsea Structures – Hyderabad

Design and assess subsea structures for TechnipFMC energy projects in Hyderabad. Lead engineers, review technical deliverables, and support fabrication and installation activities.

Description

  • Lead independent structural design and analysis while supervising engineers responsible for related work
  • Prepare and evaluate technical engineering documentation
  • Coordinate project design and constructability reviews
  • Advise on subsea structural analysis and design for fabrication, handling, and subsea installation
  • Maintain technical compliance, quality standards, and timely delivery of assigned deliverables
  • Mentor and oversee engineers and designers
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients
  • Develop engineering recommendations and practical solutions
  • Advance innovative approaches that optimize subsea structures and improve efficiency
  • Provide engineering support for subsea projects governed by safety, quality, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Travel to project sites as needed to guide, inspect, or supervise structural fabrication

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification with 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of engineering practices, design methodologies, and calculations
  • Background mentoring or leading engineering teams while delivering projects
  • Experience designing structural steel, preferably in offshore or subsea environments
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards such as DNV, ASME, and API
  • Experience performing fatigue analysis
  • Ability to review engineering designs, documents, layouts, and calculations and interpret FEN structural analysis results
  • Strong command of engineering fundamentals and physical modeling, including solid mechanics, strength of materials, and fluid dynamics
  • Experience using SACS or comparable beam-element analysis software
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis with ANSYS
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to transfer subject-matter expertise effectively
