Description

  • Perform pre-donation medical screenings
  • Assist donors and address their customer service needs
  • Evaluate donor suitability and support center set-up activities
  • Explain outcomes appropriately to candidates who are not eligible to donate
  • Keep all donor screening information accurate and complete
  • Protect the confidentiality of donor information
  • Work in a fast-paced plasma center environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality customer service
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule
  • Motivation to contribute to improving lives
  • Ability to obtain applicable state licenses or certifications
  • Capacity to understand and follow verbal and written directions
  • Ability to listen to and comprehend spoken information
  • Ability to remain seated or standing throughout an entire shift
  • Ability to bend and rotate the neck and waist for 1–2 hours daily
  • Frequent hand use with the ability to perform rapid, simple finger, hand, and wrist movements
  • Ability to coordinate precise finger movements to grasp and handle objects
  • Ability to routinely lift 15 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds at maximum
  • Essential hearing acuity
  • Color vision and correctable near and distance vision
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information to people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work around biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
