District Operations Manager - Olathe, KS (Onsite)
Lead inventory, SOP compliance, audits, and ERP execution across Core & Main’s regional infrastructure distribution branches. Partner with branch leaders to strengthen field operations, accountability, and execution.
Description
- Maintain regional inventory accuracy by leading investigations and ensuring issues are resolved
- Drive SOP adherence across warehouse, receiving, and branch operations
- Oversee cycle counts, returns, receiving practices, and operational accuracy
- Plan and conduct branch audits, assess results, and create corrective action plans
- Maintain D365 process compliance and resolve operational workflow issues
- Improve warehouse flow, workplace safety, and overall operating efficiency
- Lead branch readiness and field execution for corporate and regional initiatives
- Manage and communicate regional operational scorecards
- Partner with District Managers on operational elements that support sales enablement
- Coach Branch Managers in operational excellence
- Support training initiatives with the Regional Director and corporate operations teams
- Visit branches weekly with defined objectives and follow through on operational and system-related actions
- Conduct monthly operational audits, refresh SOP knowledge, provide up-training, and assess initiative readiness
- Complete quarterly operational health assessments and execution reviews
- Report to the Regional Director while partnering with District and Branch Managers
Requirements
- Substantial experience in branch operations, including warehousing, receiving, inventory, and audits
- A demonstrated record of maintaining SOP compliance and consistent operations
- Previous leadership experience in an operations-focused environment is preferred
- Experience with D365 or a comparable ERP platform is advantageous
- Experience with Mincron and D365
- Strong process discipline and sound operational judgment
- Ability to identify root causes and recognize recurring patterns
- Ability to coach team members and hold them accountable
- Strong teaching and instructional skills
