Data Engineer, Master Data & Golden Records – Spain Remote
Data Engineer role focused on integrating and consolidating master data for CONVOTIS Iberia, a technology solutions company. Build golden records using Airflow, dbt, Python, and SQL.
Description
- Design and develop Airflow DAGs to integrate data from internal and external APIs
- Collect information from multiple sources, transform and validate it, and load it into corporate master-data systems
- Develop and improve matching, deduplication, consolidation, and golden-record generation processes
- Manage the change-validation workflow, ensuring traceability, control, and consistent application of modifications
- Define data-quality controls, business rules, and observability mechanisms to identify issues
- Investigate discrepancies across sources and work with business and data teams to determine the valid information
- Document integrations, rules, and decisions to maintain the solutions and preserve team knowledge
Requirements
- Approximately four years of experience in data engineering, integrations, or master data; shorter experience may be considered with equivalent seniority, autonomy, and impact
- Strong command of Python, dbt, and SQL
- Experience developing and maintaining Airflow DAGs in production environments
- Experience consuming APIs, including authentication, pagination, error handling, retries, and traceability
- Knowledge of data modeling, normalization, deduplication, matching, and entity consolidation
- Analytical ability to trace data origins, compare sources, and translate business rules into technical logic
- Good practices in Git, testing, documentation, observability, and CI/CD
