Data Engineer – Core Banking and Data Transformation, Luminor Group

Build trusted data pipelines and reporting solutions from Luminor Group’s core banking systems. Develop scalable Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers for banking analytics and operations.

Description

  • Design and build reliable data transformations and pipelines for banking, finance, reporting, and analytics
  • Trace data end to end from core banking and source systems to downstream consumers
  • Convert business needs into data mappings, transformation rules, reconciliation logic, and technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain data solutions across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
  • Maintain data quality and consistency across solutions
  • Diagnose complex issues spanning source systems, transformations, warehouses, and reporting
  • Manage changes through analysis, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
  • Work with stakeholders, analysts, architects, and engineers to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions

Requirements

  • Strong SQL and Python proficiency
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT
  • Working knowledge of banking and core banking data, including accounts, transactions, balances, GL/accounting, and reporting
  • Hands-on experience developing data transformations
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably AWS
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices
  • Strong systems and data analysis capabilities
  • Oracle or Oracle FLEXCUBE experience is a strong advantage
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, Bronze/Silver/Gold architectures, and BI or reporting environments is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ownership, analytical thinking, functional curiosity, and ability to turn ambiguous problems into practical, production-ready solutions
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required
  • Primarily located within the Baltics; submit an English-language CV in PDF format
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification required
