Contract Azure Architect in Mexico (Remote)
Contract Azure Architect responsible for shaping Techmahindra’s Fabric platform through secure cloud architecture, APIs, and reusable services. The role combines hands-on work across Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and AI-supported engineering.
Description
- Translate business goals and stakeholder needs into practical architecture choices and a clear product direction
- Create architecture blueprints, detailed design documentation, technical decision records, and delivery guidance
- Define secure, scalable, reusable services, APIs, data patterns, integrations, shared components, and user-facing capabilities
- Support delivery teams through prototypes, code reviews, collaborative design, design governance, and technical debt reduction
- Evaluate technology choices, encourage reuse, establish engineering standards, and develop shared frameworks or accelerators
- Contribute to estimates and planning, manage the architecture backlog, and balance cost, risk, quality, security, and delivery speed
- Work across architecture, security, platform, and engineering functions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
- Use agentic and AI-assisted engineering methods to strengthen delivery quality, documentation, testing, and developer productivity
Requirements
- Demonstrated architecture experience spanning cloud-native applications, integration, data, and security
- Hands-on development experience with at least one modern language, including C#, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, and Python
- Experience applying agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted delivery workflows such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or Claude Code
- Practical Azure expertise covering compute, storage, networking, security, Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, and tenant-aware identity
- Background designing and delivering APIs, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes environments, ideally AKS
- Experience implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
- Ability to define authentication, authorization, and access-management architectures
- Working knowledge of compliance, application security, and secure-by-design principles
- Experience designing for reuse, maintainability, observability, cost efficiency, and controlled technical debt
- Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders, product groups, engineers, and architects in distributed teams
- Advanced English
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer, TOGAF, or SAFe are advantageous but optional
