Contract Administrator

Manage procurement, tendering, and post-award contract administration for Qualus’s power infrastructure projects. Maintain commercial compliance across cost, schedule, quality, and delivery.

Description

  • Lead procurement and contracting activities for medium- to high-complexity projects
  • Develop and manage tender documents, clarifications, evaluations, and contract awards
  • Administer contracts to maintain compliance with cost, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Oversee post-award processes, including change orders, payments, claims, and closeout
  • Partner with project teams and clients to support effective project execution and delivery
  • Complete procurement and subcontracting activities accurately and on schedule
  • Help achieve project milestones, reduce commercial risk, promote safety, strengthen competitiveness, and meet customer expectations
  • Report to the Supply Chain Manager

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field
  • Supply chain certification, such as SCMP or CPSM, is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience working with ERP systems
  • SAP proficiency is required
  • Five to seven years of pre-award and post-award contract administration experience
  • Experience with public tendering, evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, progress payments, invoicing, change management, and dispute resolution
  • Background in civil, utilities, or industrial project environments is preferred
  • Experience with power transmission and distribution projects, such as BC Hydro work, is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Highly analytical, organized, and capable of solving complex problems
  • Working knowledge of lump-sum, unit-rate, and other commercial contract models
