Construction Solicitor – Anglian Water, Huntingdon On-Site

Description

  • Draft and negotiate delivery contracts for three upcoming asset management periods across design, construction, repair and maintenance services
  • Provide legal and commercial support throughout tenders, including evaluation and scoring
  • Lead contract negotiations with prospective bidders
  • Ensure final contract documents accurately capture agreed commercial terms
  • Advise internal teams on complex construction and procurement issues
  • Contribute to the legal and commercial framework for future delivery alliances
  • Shape procurement strategy and establish the legal and commercial foundations for future alliances

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor
  • Experience drafting and negotiating high-value, complex construction contracts in private practice or an in-house environment
  • Strong experience with NEC4 construction contracts
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation
  • Confident communicator who can explain complex issues and offer constructive challenge
  • Strong commercial judgement, drafting ability and technology skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Practical, collaborative and solutions-oriented working style
  • Around 10 or more years of relevant post-qualification experience is desirable, though candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate the required skills, behaviours and potential
