Compliance Specialist, Privacy - Providence (Hybrid)

Support privacy and compliance operations across Providence’s multi-state healthcare system. Investigate regulatory matters, manage sensitive information, and travel between facilities as needed.

Description

  • Support Providence St. Joseph Health and affiliated organizations with compliance and privacy program activities
  • Help maintain an effective compliance program
  • Conduct investigations and research using established mid-level methods
  • Build deeper knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and privacy matters
  • Provide support to hospitals, physician clinics, skilled nursing facilities, health plans, medical foundations, educational institutions, child care centers, in-home services, and Providence Strategic Management Services
  • Safeguard highly sensitive information
  • Travel overnight and commute regularly between facilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, accounting, finance, management information systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in healthcare compliance or privacy
  • Three years of progressive experience in RIS internal audit, information security, or compliance and privacy is preferred
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance credential is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage highly sensitive information
  • Availability for occasional overnight travel and regular travel between facilities
