Cloudera CDP Support Specialist Italy Remote

Description

  • Track pipelines, applications, and cluster health using Cloudera Manager, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Diagnose errors and service issues independently by analyzing system and application logs
  • Deploy releases to production by following runbooks supplied by the development team
  • Maintain Cloudera clusters through defined procedures for patching, upgrades, and configuration changes
  • Restart failed applications and jobs with an understanding of their input and output data
  • Communicate directly with customers and vendor support teams in writing
  • Help maintain the customer's enterprise data platform in stable day-to-day operation
  • Work with the Cloudera CDP Public Cloud stack on AWS, including Spark, Solr, Oozie, HBase, Hive, and Kafka

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Linux or Unix and command-line environments
  • Experience using SSH, including port forwarding
  • Comfort reading logs and applying structured troubleshooting methods
  • Foundational networking knowledge
  • Experience with Spark, Hadoop, or comparable platforms
  • Fluent Italian
  • Written technical English proficiency
  • Some experience with Cloudera CDH or CDP, or with enterprise Hadoop platforms such as Hortonworks, MapR, or EMR, is a plus
  • Familiarity with Cloudera Manager, Oozie, Solr, or HBase is a plus
  • Background in application maintenance, NOC operations, or second-line support is a plus
  • Willingness to work shifts, provide on-call coverage for approximately one week per month, and rotate Saturday coverage
