Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (OCI) — Leidos, Remote US

Operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for Leidos’ Strategic National Stockpile systems. Support secure, highly available federal medical-supply operations and 24/7 incident response.

Description

  • Operate and maintain SAMS infrastructure hosted in OCI
  • Administer OCI compute, storage, networking, IAM, connectivity, and related cloud services
  • Track infrastructure availability, performance, capacity, utilization, and operational health
  • Diagnose cloud infrastructure, network, connectivity, access, and performance problems
  • Build and maintain infrastructure automation with Terraform/IaC, scripting, and approved tools
  • Manage infrastructure configuration through controlled, versioned processes and Government-approved repositories
  • Support cloud backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and continuity capabilities
  • Maintain OCI connectivity with HHS networks, Oracle EBS components, external services, and applicable 3PL interfaces
  • Support security configuration, vulnerability remediation, patching, logging, monitoring, and FISMA/FedRAMP compliance requirements
  • Contribute to capacity planning and optimization of cloud resources
  • Coordinate infrastructure changes, releases, maintenance, and incident response with application, database, cybersecurity, integration, and Government teams
  • Maintain cloud architecture, configurations, operating procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation
  • Contribute to SAMS modernization, system enhancements, operational readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support and acknowledge critical incidents within 15 minutes

Requirements

  • US citizenship or Green Card status and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • At least five years of cloud or infrastructure engineering experience
  • Experience running production workloads in OCI or a comparable enterprise IaaS cloud
  • Experience with cloud compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring, capacity management, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Demonstrated administration of Linux-based cloud environments, preferably Oracle Linux
  • Experience automating infrastructure deployments with Ansible, Terraform, or comparable tools
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, connectivity, availability, and performance problems
  • Experience operating production cloud environments under formal change, configuration, security, and operational controls
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with application, database, network, cybersecurity, and business teams
  • Strong technical writing and communication abilities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Tier 2 background investigation or suitability determination and HHS PIV access
  • Ability to meet SNS 24/7 on-call and 15-minute response requirements
  • OCI certification preferred
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub/GitLab, or comparable tools preferred
  • Oracle Linux experience preferred
  • Experience supporting Oracle EBS or other enterprise ERP applications hosted in OCI preferred
  • Experience with FedRAMP Moderate or FISMA environments preferred
  • Experience with cloud disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, SIEM, and vulnerability-management solutions preferred
  • Experience supporting federal, HHS, public-health, logistics, supply-chain, or other mission-critical environments preferred
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion or Cloud ERP preferred
