Business Analyst — Remote in Ukraine

Business Analyst role at Kyivstar.Tech, supporting digital products for a Ukrainian telecommunications technology company. The position covers requirements analysis, backlog management, cross-functional collaboration, and software testing.

Description

  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and designers to deliver product features.
  • Evaluate potential solutions for technical and business fit.
  • Partner with the Product Manager, development and IT teams, external stakeholders, and end users to support technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Analyze software requirements and define use cases and functional requirements.
  • Document and maintain functional and technical descriptions of processes for solution support, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Manage requirements through prioritization, traceability, verification, and validation.
  • Maintain the backlog and facilitate related activities as needed.
  • Oversee test implementation, collect user feedback, and recommend functional enhancements.
  • Select and introduce appropriate tools, technologies, and techniques.

Requirements

  • At least two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience creating solution artifacts such as UML diagrams, use cases, business rules, and functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and the Business Analyst’s responsibilities within the Scrum process.
  • Understanding of web standards, communication protocols, messaging protocols, and data formats, including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, HTTP, FTP, and TCP.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle principles.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to work productively in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Microsoft SQL Server data sources.
  • Understanding and practical experience with SOA, DDD, monolithic architectures, and design patterns.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs.
  • Foundational knowledge of mobile development technologies.
  • Experience contributing to integration projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence.
