BI Functional Analyst at Cívica - Remote Spain
BI Functional Analyst connecting business stakeholders with technical teams at Cívica, a data and digital transformation consultancy. Work with MicroStrategy, Looker, Power BI, and SQL.
Description
- Gather business needs, uncover users’ underlying requirements, and translate them into functional specifications
- Assess existing BI solutions, with particular focus on Strategy/MicroStrategy
- Plan how existing solutions can be migrated or adapted for Looker and Power BI
- Turn analysis into clear technical specifications covering business rules, data needs, scope, and acceptance criteria
- Evaluate solution feasibility, constraints, dependencies, and data requirements
- Define scope, identify complexity, and help size and estimate incoming requests
- Document solutions, requirements, and implementation criteria
- Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and Data/BI technical teams
- Build a long-term working relationship with the Cívica team
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or in a comparable Data/BI role
- Functional experience with Strategy/MicroStrategy, including understanding existing solutions and their logic
- Experience with Looker and the ability to translate solutions into the platform
- Experience gathering and defining functional requirements
- Working knowledge of SQL for analyzing data, sources, and feasibility
- Strong communication skills with both business stakeholders and technical teams, serving as an effective bridge between them
- Experience migrating between BI tools, especially from Strategy/MicroStrategy to Looker or Power BI, would be ideal
- Experience with Power BI in functional analysis or solution-definition contexts is valued
